If you need urgent medical attention and are too ill to be brought in to the Surgery, a home visit may be appropriate. Please telephone the Surgery before 10.00 if possible, ensuring that:

We regret that we are unable to offer home visits simply because of lack of transport or transport difficulties. If you or your child feel too ill to sit in the waiting room, then please advise reception and you will be shown to one of our consultation rooms on arrival.

Medical Emergencies
In the event of a medical emergency, you should contact the Emergency Services, by telephoning 999. This is the quickest and most effective way of obtaining emergency assistance when you are concerned about serious or life threatening illnesses or accidents, e.g. acute breathing problems, chest pains, and serious injuries (ie from road traffic accidents or assaults).

You may, if you wish, telephone the Surgery to ask for advice before calling an ambulance, although in doing so you may be delaying the arrival of assistance.
